The Burberry Face.
I'm a minimal makeup girl at heart. I love that matte skin look with nude eyes and lips, which is why Burberry appeals to me so much. All of the models on their campaigns, from Emma Watson to Cara Delevingne, look effortlessly beautiful with very nude-natural makeup. Here's my take on the nude-tastic makeup look...
For my face I wanted to get a lovely 'lit from within' glow to my skin, so I prepped and primed before my foundation with the Nars Radiance Enhancing Pro Prime, this is such a lovely product as it has a very subtle shimmer running through it so gives even the mattest of bases a glow. For my foundation, I settled on Nars Sheer Glow in the shade Mont Blanc as it is has the best coverage without looking too cakey on the skin. My t-zone was then set with Soap and Glory's One Heck of a Blot translucent powder to ensure my base stayed put without any oiliness creeping through.
Blush was a no-go on this occasion, as the Burberry models appear to always look chiseled without a flush of colour. So I went for a trip in my mum's makeup bag and left with the Diego Dalla Palma Sunset Bronzer to contour my cheekbones. This was then topped off with my well loved Kevin Aucoin Celestial Powder in Candlelight.
Eyes and Lips
The eyes were kept to a minimal with MAC's Patina eyeshadow blended out with a 217 brush, followed with a sweep of Clinique's High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara. All that remained was adding a little of my Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Bisque, to cover any eyeshadow fallout and some hideous dark circles, and a sweep of my all time favourite MAC lipstick: Creme Cup (be as flexible with the lipstick as you like, I go for pinky nudes due to my skin-tone but Shy Girl would look lovely for more olive toned gals).
There we have it a very simple, very nude makeup look. What's your favourite makeup look this season?
