Saturday Ramblings: The Best of This Week.

I write to you this Saturday, feeling much too relaxed to say I have another TWO essays to complete. University will be the death of me, but thankfully there's only another two weeks of hard work and I can retire for Christmas (to an extent, there's still exam revision of course). A few things have getting me through these tough times, to name a few...

When I was younger my family used to breed bulldogs, at one point we had ten little bulldog pups running around the house! I can honestly say it was one of the most special times of my life when my lovely little Charlie had her puppies, and so there's nothing I like more than to reminisce over this with Bulldogs of Instagram. Just look at their cute little faces, looking at the pictures brings back fond memories that really pick me up when I feel down. As you can imagine writing an essay on the effects that language disorders hold on language processing isn't the most thrilling, so my ideal way to procrastinate is scrolling through this instagram page.

I'm a huge fan of the Naked palettes by Urban Decay, so you can imagine my delight when the third instalment was paraded across the blogosphere this week. The colours are beautiful and pink-toned, one half neutral while the other smoked and sexy. I've already pre-ordered this on Look Fantastic (which currently retails this 4 pounds cheaper! link), so expect a full post when this pops through my letterbox shortly. A few quick notes, the packaging looks luxe and I adore that the colours are unique to the palette. Watch this space.

Unfortunately it's been abnormally mild this week in Leeds, but that hasn't stopped me from whipping out my gorgeous Zara scarf that Daniel bought for me. Tartan has been huge this A/W, and I leaped onto the bandwagon by sporting this on a daily basis (which I've spotted on almost everyone). It's snug, it's huge and it's been perfect as a makeshift blanket at work. The only time I went scarf-less was yesterday in the blisteringly cold winds, waiting 45 MINUTES for a so-called every seven minutes bus. It's safe to say I fully regret my decision and will at all times through the winter be cracking this beauty out.

I do have to mention that I am very jealous of all you Americans with your Thanksgiving dinner. My friend from uni was cooking up a roast to feed eight people, while I wolfed down a microwave meal at work. Very unfair. Please send me pictures of your dinners (weird?) so I can pretend just for a minute that I don't have to wait a full 25 days until the next big roast.

    1. Haha thank you! It's awfully snug! I have the first one, which is really nice and warm toned. The second one isn't that different to the first so I'd skip that one. I adore the pink tone of this new one, so it's whether you prefer more browns (naked 1) or pinks (naked 3)
