This Week's Most Loved. #17

We're at the final hurdle these next couple of weeks, then a much needed break from uni is on it's way. I've been very much the minimalist when it comes to makeup as a result of constant studying, but there have been a few staples in my bag that have enabled the natural look. To start we have the foundation that hasn't left my face all week, L'Oreal Nude Magique Eau De Teint. I wrote a full post on this here so I won't go into too much depth, but the advert isn't lying when it's described as water on the skin. Nude Magique is literally weightless and offers a lovely light coverage, allowing the skin to breathe a little.

I love a good bronzer and nothing sounds more appealing than a cream one, unfortunately I can't afford the Chanel Tan De Soleil so the next best thing had to be Bourjois Bronzing Primer. Oh my, this stuff is good. The smell is slightly controversial as it has more than a hint of artificial chocolate, but please don't let this put you off. I've been applying this with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush on the highest point of my cheeks to sculpt and add warmth to my face. It does look a little scary brown in the pot, but this bronzer blends seamlessly into the skin. It's an absolute bargain product and most certainly a dupe for the lovely Chanel number.

For the eyes, it's been fairly simple: mascara and waterline rimmed with Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Khol in Nude. I don't think this eyeliner is the best I've ever tried, but for minimising redness and brightening up the eyes it works a dream. I find that after a few hours of wear, it does flake a little in my eyes. Truth be told I found this hidden away in my stash a few days ago and rather than forking out £14 on my favourite Urban Decay liners, this did the job nicely.

Finally we have a delicious smelling Strawberry Shower Gel by The Body Shop. Daniel surprised me with a set including this last week, and I've thoroughly enjoyed lathering this up in the bath. It smells like strawberry shortcake, a scent that lingers all day long, and makes my body squeaky clean. As it turns out, boyfriends can be good for something...

  1. You're reminding me to take out the Bourjois Bronzing Primer...I keep forgetting that I have that in my stash. I'm not particularly fond of the smell, nor am I of how it looks like poo - but it's a great product that definitely needs to be used more often. I agree with you about the Rimmel pencil, it's amazing for the price, but definitely not the best of products. I've been eyeing up the UD 24/7 pencils or the NARS larger than life eyeliners.....any input on the NARS eyeliners? x

    1. Hahaha such a nice description on the Bronzing primer... The UD eyeliners are easily the best I've ever tried. That being said, I have a brown NARS Larger than life eyeliner that I use almost daily. Very long lasting, easy to use and has a nice waxy texture. I don't like how you sharpen the pencil though, it's really funny and can irritate my eyes after using it. I'd recommend the UD ones over the NARS ones xx

  3. I swear by that nude ScandalEYES pencil. I have tried so many different flesh-toned liners on my waterline and I've found very few that are as opaque as this. (Nothing beats the price, either!)
