L'Oreal True Match Foundation.

I'm not much of a low-end foundation girl. Give me a bottle of YSL or Nars foundation and I can guarantee I'll love it. But after hearing so many rave reviews on how the L'Oreal True Match foundation is a dupe for the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk (number one on my to buy list), I just had to try it out.

This little bottle, was my go-to foundation during my high school years. Back when a trip to Asda, meant a whole new basket of makeup goodies. I'd slap this on my skin with my fingers, without a little bit of blush - I was all about the Bella Swan/Twilight/Vampire look back then. I can't remember too much about my previous thoughts on it, but considering it's been reformulated anyway I suppose it doesn't really matter.

On to the actual review: I adore this foundation. True Match hasn't left my skin since I bought it, gone are the Sheer Glow obsession days and in comes this. I've had so many complements on my complexion when wearing this, as it looks so natural but gives a beautiful satin effect to the skin. In terms of longevity, I wore this on a night out and it managed to last me from 6pm until 5am with some crazy dancing in between. The shade Ivory matches my pale skin perfectly and blends into the skin like a dream, with the huge range of shades there will be a shade for everyone. True Match foundation has a texture that doesn't compare to any other foundation I own, I can honestly say that I love it and will continue to repurchase it over and over again.

Will you be picking this up?

  1. I haven't tried this in a fair few years either! I have been hearing some amazing things left right and centre though and as I have just run out of my every day foundation - I may give this a go !

    1. Oh that sucks! They seem to have loads catered to the pale skins (me), such a shame there's nothing for you x

  3. I think I told you this before, but the Asian formulation of this sucked. However, you're making it very appealing...if it wasn't for the fact that I just bought two Rimmel foundations, I'd probably give in and get this. You should try the Rimmel Match Perfection one, it's really good and hasn't a day gone by since I got it I hadn't reached for it. x
